With Azure's newer support for Hot, Cool, and Archive tiers for blobs, I'd like to be able to set these within AMS.3 votes
Thanks for making this suggestion. This is certainly on our roadmap. Considering changing tier is limited to certain types of storage accounts, we just have to come up with a best way to achieve this.
For a storage account, we can view blobs, tables and queues but not files.48 votes
Thank you for suggesting this idea. We have been thinking about doing this however there’s no firm ETA on this.
However support for Azure Files is there in our other product – Cloud Portam (http://www.cloudportam.com/features/storage/file-service). Please do check it out. Also, if you have a license for Azure Management Studio, you get 1 year complimentary access to Cloud Portam. You can read about this offer on our blog post at http://blog.cerebrata.com/cerebrata-is-now-part-of-cynapta-software/.
If there are any questions, please let me know.
If a table is very large, it can take hours (sometimes a day or two) to delete. If it is necessary to restore it after deleting (effectively purging all data) this can bring everything to a screeching halt...just waiting for the table to finish deleting...
A feature to quick delete a table so that it can be added back while the gargabe collector continues deleting the data behind the scenes would be amazing.40 votes

This would be helpful for understanding how calls are constructed against the services.6 votes
You can use Fiddler to do this if you turn on the HTTPS Decryption it offers. For us to add this as a feature we’d need to be able to provide much more than fiddler does to make it worth it. Can you provide additional thoughts on this? Would fiddler suit your needs here?
The features are good it really helps me on my day by day work. The only problem that I am having with it is responsiveness. Please do some optimization to make the UI more responsive.3 votes
Can you please contact support at email@example.com to let us know which specific UI interactions you are having issues with? Or please update this feedback with more specifics?
Please add a feature to download usage csv files and to calculate costs per VM156 votes
The current issue is that there is not an exposed billing API for Azure outside of those that have an Enterprise Account (EA). We will review this further once a universally available billing API is available.
There are typically standard tabs I like to keep open for quick access that take a bit to drill down to each every time the app boots. Would be nice to have a checkbox option in Settings to "Reopen previous tabs at startup"140 votes
Azure Management Studio is used by developers and DevOPs/Operations folks to monitor systems running in Azure. Microsoft offers a service Dashboard at http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/support/service-dashboard/. This dashboard provides an RSS feed of any current issues. It would be an interesting feature to have AMS read the RSS feeds and have an alert somewhere on the UI if there is an issue. It could even be tailored/configured to look in specific regions, for specific services, or even set it self to watch for services the user has connected to in AMS. So, if you have a VM set up in AMS it automatically watches for the storage and compute services. This could be an optional feature that you turn on since it would need to go out and get the RSS feed and some folks may not want it making that call regularly.

Use the management API to allow AMS to upload OsDisks and Data Disks for the new Virtual Machine feature. This feature should prompt for information necessary and then upload to the storage account indicated. With this feature I'd suggest the following items:
- resumable upload in case it stops
- multi-threaded upload of images
- automatically register as a Disk so that it shows up in the portal and aquires the permanent lease.41 votes
The little status updates that appear (at the bottom of the screen for instance) that say "A total of 3 blob containers fetched from..." are sometimes very redundant. You can see in the tree view UI above it that it has three containers in it. I keep closing these. An option to turn them off would be good.6 votes
We are looking at removing these and replacing them with better alternatives, maybe a console (that you can hide) or updating the status bar at the bottom.
Items in the navigation menu (Application Groups, Connection Groups, Storage accounts, etc) appear to be listed in the order that they were added. Being able to reorder these would be useful for me, preferably by drag and drop.12 votes
